Using latest CGI and live-action reconstructions, this film follows the journey of an oxygen molecule over billions of years. The story begins with a bacteria that produces our oxygen molecule. At times, the two oxygen atoms are torn apart and bind to other molecules. They are involved in the conflagrations around the death of the dinosaurs after the great asteroid impact, then travels through a human body to combine with haemoglobin in the blood and to take part in chemical reactions in cells. The oxygen spends some time as ozone, protecting earth from deadly radiation but then becomes part of a carbon dioxide molecule to help warming earth. This film explores key moments in the history of the earth in an unusual and visual way. | |
